Peter Howse

I First became interested in photography around 15 years ago. You could say I was a late bloomer.

I shot for a while on my trusty Canon 350d but then due to work commitments it sadly had to take a back seat. A few years later I became ill and once again decided to pick up a camera. Not just for pleasure but also as a coping mechanism for dealing with crippling anxiety I was suffering with at the time.

As with many photographers when I started I wanted to shoot anything and everything. Time progressed and I realised my real love lay in landscapes.

I love the peace and tranquillity of a pre dawn morning, waiting for that glowing ball of light to edge its way over the horizon. The feeling of accomplishment after a 4 hour hike just to get the perfect composition. For me there’s nothing like it.
